This is my favorite food time of the year. Brunches abound as spring sets in and we come out of hibernation (or here in Arizona, prepare to go into it).
Gatherings with friends are more laid back than they are at the holidays, with quick and easy fare preferred over labor intensive, full scale meals.
(Because you know I'm not ever going to spend anything close to 45 minutes making a dish no matter what time of year it is.)
Whether you are hosting a fab soiree or just bringing a dish to one, the key to this time of year is easy breezy. And my friend Sarah Garone at A Love Letter to Food has knocked it out of the park with her perfect party appetizer Mediterranean 7 Layer Dip recipe!
This tasty dip comes together SO fast with almost no prep and can be customized easily to cover just about all food allergies and preferences. If you're feeling adventurous, you could even sub out the store bought hummus for the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus recipe in my free Guide to Nutritious Noshing cookbook.
Serve with pita chips, or sliced up veggies. Actually, I bet a dollop of this dip would be a great entree topping, on top of some a grilled lean protein and quinoa.
Is it party time yet?!
